Major Milestone: Recreational Cannabis Bill

New Bill Filed: ORCA has filed a new recreational cannabis initiative, officially known as State Question 837, aiming to legalize adult-use cannabis in Oklahoma. This constitutional amendment would allow adults 21 and older to possess, purchase, and cultivate cannabis, while also establishing a regulated and taxed market.

Signature Drive Begins in August: After clearing the mandatory waiting period and avoiding legal challenges, ORCA is set to begin gathering signatures in August 2025. The goal is to collect at least 172,993 valid signatures to secure a spot on the 2026 ballot.

Industry and Community Involvement: ORCA is calling on everyone in the Oklahoma cannabis industry—cultivators, processors, retailers, advocates, and consumers—to unite and support this historic effort. This is a pivotal moment to come together and help shape the future of cannabis in Oklahoma.
